While our focus is largely on creating an excellent in person conference, we will provide a zoom link to all registrants the day before the conference so those who reside outside of the Boise/Meridian area can participate.

Speaker biographies:

  • Dr. Laurie Mintz is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Florida teaching Human Sexuality to hundreds of undergraduates yearly. She has published over 60 scholarly works and authored two popular press books: Becoming Cliterate: Why Orgasm Equality Matters and How to Get It and A Tired Woman’s Guide to Passionate Sex.  Mintz is a licensed psychologist and certified sex therapist in private practice. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, indicating her work has had a positive national influence on the field of psychology.  In 2023, she was named one of Forbes “50 over 50” woman innovators. 
  • Dr. Jim Ballard has been a faculty member in the Department of Physical Therapy and Athletic Training at the University of Utah since 2004. He is a clinical assistant professor and teaches courses on men’s and women’s pelvic health, geriatrics, and vestibular rehabilitation in the physical therapy curriculum. Jim is the clinical director of the University Balance and Mobility Clinic. He holds dual clinical specialist board certifications in women’s health and geriatric physical therapy. 
  • Dr. Rachel Rubin is a board-certified urologist and sexual medicine specialist. She is an assistant clinical professor of Urology at Georgetown University and owns her private practice in the Washington DC region. She is one of only a handful of physicians fellowship trained in male and female sexual medicine. Dr. Rubin is a clinician, researcher, and vocal educator in the field of sexual medicine. She completed her medical and undergraduate training at Tufts University, her urology training at Georgetown University, and her fellowship training under Dr. Irwin Goldstein in San Diego. In addition to being the education chair for the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health (ISSWSH), she also serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal Sexual Medicine Reviews. Her work has been featured in the NYT, PBS, and NPR.
  • Dr. Wade Muncey is a fellowship-trained urologist with expertise in sexual medicine, male fertility, and men’s health. He was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He attended college locally, earning a degree in biology and chemistry from Whitworth University. He then went on to earn a medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. His surgical training included a year of general surgery and four years of urologic surgery at Case Western Reserve University. This was followed by a year of sub-specialty training in sexual dysfunction and microsurgery at Stanford University in the field of Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery. He specializes in penile implant surgery, treatment for male infertility, sperm retrieval, and vasectomy reversal. He is dedicated to providing men access to the latest technologies for conditions such as erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s Disease, BPH, and low testosterone.
