Rachel “Featherstone” Featherstone’s career in healthcare began in 2005, with experience spanning labor and delivery, behavioral health, sexual health, and psychedelic medicine. After starting training as a nurse-midwife, they then pivoted to becoming a nurse practitioner in sexual and reproductive health. Featherstone firmly believes that supporting the holistic health of patients means addressing sexual needs as a part of medical and psychological treatment.  Their areas of interest include sexuality after reproductive life events, the stigma of sexually transmitted infections, and erotically marginalized populations.

Outside of their work with ISHP, Featherstone is the founder of Eucalyptus Health, which caters to the mental health care of perinatal and LGBTQ+ individuals. They also organize for their local perinatal mental health coalition, and volunteer with the health department.
